Wow........

In case you didn't know, I am in LOVE with rhythmic gymnastics. I train about 20 hours a week, but my goal is to be as good as this person, someday. This is one of the top rhythmic gymnasts, Marina Shpekht.

My First Tutorial (HAIR!!!!)

hey people! today I'm going to try out doing a tutorial on ze art of ze bunmaking. Yep. I'm going to show you guys how to make a bun. You'll need:

Hairpins

Bands made of RUBBER!!! (Good for thick hair like mine; they're really stretchy)

A brush for getting rid of tangles (aargh!)

Another brush for smoothing out hair

And some smoothing creams

1. Put your hair in a ponytail w/ 2 of the stretchy bands after wetting it and brushing. It should be moist

2. Make sure its well brushed

3. Start from the top of the ponytail, and twist your way to the bottom. Make sure its nice and tight

4. This is what it should look like

5. When you're done, twist it around your base of the ponytail. It should look like this

6. Imagining your bun is a clock, stick pins in at 12 o clock, 3 o clock, 6 o clock, and 9 o clock

7. Stick more bobby pins in between to make it more secure

8. It probably looks something like this

9. With one more RuBbEr band, tie it around your bun

10. Finally, use your smoothing cream to smooth out any stubborn hairs....

And your bun is complete!

Ze Ugly Side Of My Ballet Class

Ah, what's better than a 9:30 at night ballet class? Well, my friend, how about a 9:30 ballet class with your teacher holding a needle to your knee and another to your arm threatening to get another needle?
Ah, classic. Yup. This way, we had to balance with our legs over 90 degrees up in the air. If you put your legs down, or lowered your arms, stuck out your butt just the slightest bit, or bent your knee,  guess what happened! Yep. You got poked. And trust me, that wasn't fun at all! Yesterday that's exactly what happened. To visually show you, here's a pic I drew on my whiteboard:

And as if that wasn't enough, she had us stick batteries in our butts and jump while holding them! I don't think I'll touch another battery in my life!

Ze Helper of Ze dogs

Yayyyy!!! I recently found out that I am going to volunteer to help dogs at an animal shelter. Only the great thing is that the animal shelter, Orphan Pet Fund, doesn't kill their animals after a certain amount of time. They just wait until they're adopted. So, anyways, I'm going to volunteer and walk the dogs. To be a volunteer, you have to commit a minimum of 5 hrs. a month of volunteer work. That's pretty manageable. YAYYAYYYY!!! I'll also get to help rehabilitate dogs that are afraid of people!! I can't wait!!!!!

It's Final!

Happy-not-quite-but-soon Thanksgiving!
In Cartooning Class, I finished my final drafts of my character design. Here they are....

The writing is backwards. Woops! More art coming soon, especially when I start animating this bee. Ajattelen nimeäminen mainettani Bertie Bee. Tai ehkä Bernard Bee. That was Finnish for : I am thinking of naming my character Bertie the Bee. Or maybe Bernard the Bee.

Hmm....I never even knew Finnish was a language....
